As the first and the most iconic pieces of my crochet bag brand, MOYA London, these sustainable, luxury beach totes were launched in 2022 and sold out immediately.

Inspiration
With sustainability and feminism as core values of the brand, I used yarn arts as the main inspiration behind the collection. The goal was to achieve a design that's both artistic and practical, and firmly sustainable.
Design
The design consisted of material trials, technical experimentation as well as sketching. I oversaw the entire design to pre-production process, including sourcing materials, hardwares and creating crochet techniques.
Practical and sustainability aspects were considered and I innovated a smart mechanism (removable leather straps, badge and insert) so the crochet bag can be washed.

The beach totes were an immediate hit in fashion media as soon as it was launched, being featured in British Vogue, Glamour, Tatler, The Independent and more.
