Harper Shoulder Bag
A start-up DTC brand, Harper, was looking to manufacture a collection of minimalistic leather bags inspired by luxury classics at affordable prices. I helped them create their first product from concept to manufacturing.
The Concept
As the brand requested a contemporary update from vintage classics while maintaining its minimalistic core, I initiated a concept around modern ceramic works. Key design elements include contrasting curves, edgy lines and structural points.
The Design
The leather shoulder bag features a classic flap bag silhouette with pointy corners created with a simple cut and sew - reflecting the ceramics mood board.
Sample Making & Manufacturing
After completing the design, I helped the client with sourcing appropriate hardware and materials suitable for small quantity orders. Technical spec sheets were created and I lead the product development working with the factory from sample making to the first production batch.
